Filipinos shine on the global stage with their incredible talents and transformative contributions. The TOFIL Partners Award stands out as a symbol of this brilliance, celebrating individuals whose dedication, innovation, and leadership inspire greatness.

Spearheaded by The Outstanding Filipino Laureates and chaired by acclaimed Science Diplomat Glenn Banaguas, the award highlights the exemplary achievements of Filipinos aged 41 and above. It recognizes not just past accomplishments but also ongoing efforts to address global challenges, thanks to Banaguas’ visionary leadership.

Two notable honorees are Atty. Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo and Atty. Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine.

Robredo, the Philippines’ 14th Vice President, is known for her Angat Buhay Foundation, which uplifts marginalized communities. As a human rights lawyer, her work in empowering women, alleviating poverty, and advocating good governance reflects her unwavering commitment to public service.

Acuña-Sunshine, the first Filipino on Harvard’s Board of Overseers, brings high-impact educational programs to the Philippines, including Khan Academy. Her philanthropic efforts extend to neurological care through the Sunshine Care Foundation, supporting indigent patients and funding neuroscience research.

Through the TOFIL Partners Award, these trailblazers’ stories inspire future generations. As Banaguas aptly puts it, the award celebrates the “spirit of excellence and resilience” that defines the Filipino people, reminding us that greatness lies within our collective resolve to make a difference.
