MANILA, Philippines – Music festivals have exhibited a plethora of casual street style looks and have become definitive guides for fashion. Despite being an occasion celebrated with others, music festivals promote a sense of individuality through a showcase of various personal styles, proving how style and music truly go hand in hand. With Manila X, expect nothing less than an explosion of outstanding musical performances fused with revolutionary fashion showcases, all by brilliant local talents.

“It all started 6 years ago. As a stylist, I saw that there’s a need for fashion shows for the general public and not just for a select few. People need to know what’s in, how to match clothes, and, in the process, embrace individuality. This awareness would, in turn, catapult the retail and music festival industries by showcasing the best and the most popular artists, DJs and stylists of our time,” Manila X Founder and Creative Director John Lozano shared.

To further push Manila X’s mission, four of Manila’s most sought-after celebrity stylists will have models walk the runway in four different fashion show themes: Bang Pineda for grunge, Myrrh Lao To for Coachella, John Paul Dizon for sleek and duo Rain Dagala and Em Millan for activewear. Hip fashion retail website Zalora will also hold its own fashion show featuring bold tribal prints and romantic night out pieces. All Zalora featured items will be ready for purchase at the website right after the show, perfect for the audience to get a closer look at each piece. Get the items right then and there and they will be delivered within 24 hours.

Each fashion show will be scored by live musical acts directed by Manila X’s Director Paolo Valenciano. “The fashion element is a huge factor. I think the fact that we’ve got these talented artists scoring our shows is a big deal. We’ve got some surprise models as well. We are working with some of the best stylists in the industry. I am excited to see the collaborations between the best of the best. I feel that style aficionados are in for a real treat and those who could use some clothing improvements will learn a lot,” Mr. Valenciano mentioned.

The OPM lineup include new boy band The Juans, real-life couple singer and songwriter duo Thyro and Yumi, alternative rock band Kjwan lead by vocalist Marc Abaya, style blogger and versatile singer Kiana Valenciano, award-winning rapper Gloc 9, distinguished indie rock band Up Dharma Down, and household pop-rock singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino. To make sure everyone gets to have even more fun, DJs Badkiss, duo Curse & Bless, Jessica Milner, Tom Taus, Marc Marasigan, Mars Miranda, and Ace Ramos will be spinning the night away.

Sponsored by make-up label BYS, and powered by Zalora and TaskUs Philippines, the fastest growing startup firm in the country, Manila X is the first of its kind in the Philippines — an event where music and fashion are both front and center. The festival happens on June 04, 2016, Saturday, 4PM at Globe Circuit Event Grounds, Carmona, Makati City.

Tickets are available at www.ticketworld.com.ph or on site at the day of the festival. They are being sold at PHP 800 for VIP and PHP 500 for general admission.
