MANILA, Philippines – Marriott Hotels held their annual appreciation party last October 30, 2014 in celebration of the Global Customer Appreciation Week, hosted by Marriott Manila and Marriott Cebu. The spirit of the haunted holiday really comes to the fore as the gathering was a Halloween themed affair.
The thrilling night was especially dedicated to their valued customers. Everyone was treated to a sumptuous feast, wicked cocktails, top notch entertainment.
Ghouls, creatures and ghosts ushered the guests in the haunted garden room complete with creeping smoke, howling wind, frightening décor, creepy lighting and eerie music. Another highlight of the evening was an artistic showcase of Executive Chef Meik Branmer’s astounding Halloween buffet.
To satiate everyone’s evil appetite are spooky Beef on bones with homemade barbecue sauce, seafood mix with mojo potatoes served in a giant paellera and assorted Chinese selections featuring dim sum selections, spring roll and tea served in a trolley.
Heavenly desserts were disguised into eerie desserts such as spider web cheese cake, Smores bar, devil’s graveyard brownies and haunted black forest layer.
Starting the festivity was an opening speech by Marriott Manila’s General Manger, Bruce Winton notes that the occasion was a, “Wonderful way to say thank you to our loyal supporters for giving us the opportunity to serve you. Marriott Manila as you may know is celebrating its 5th year this month and we won’t be one of Manila’s leading hotels, if it wasn’t for your trust and confidence in us. We at Marriott have always been in pursuit for excellence because we know that’s what you deserve. I’m proud and excited that, we have something new and grand for all of you by March 2015, the Marriott Grand Ballroom, a world class and state-of-the-art venue, dedicated to all of you”.
Close to 300 VIP guests, Marriott Rewards Members, Club Marriott Members, corporate clients and media partners attended the fete dressed in their best Halloween costume.
Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez, elegantly hosted the event and the attendees creepy costume failed to mask her grace, charm and beauty. To cap the night was a spine chilling live performance from Mark Mabasa and Friends.
Much to everyone’s delight was the special awarding of the 12 winners of the best in costume for various categories. Prizes consist of 3 days and 2 nights luxurious getaway at Marriott properties in Manila and Cebu.
