MANILA, Philippines – McDonald’s Stripes Run 2023 made history on December 10 by hosting an unprecedented 9,230 participants, setting a remarkable record for the event’s attendance in its 12-year history.

The focal objective of the run was to bolster children’s literacy through support for the Ronald McDonald House Charities’ Read to Learn program. Notably, this year’s run achieved an impressive feat by raising PHP 1 million, signifying a collective commitment to improving educational opportunities for Filipino youth.

Participants, spanning diverse groups including families, individuals, and even furry companions in the newly introduced “Fur Stripes” category, actively contributed to the cause. Beyond their engagement in various running categories, attendees partook in advocacy-driven activities throughout the event.
