MANILA, Philippines (Apr. 2026) — For the first time in Philippine pageant history, fans get a real vote in who becomes Miss Universe Philippines — and it’s free to join.
Maya, the country’s top digital bank and official voting partner of Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) 2026, has opened public voting through its app, giving supporters a direct say in which delegate advances toward the crown. The fan vote runs alongside the Selection Committee’s evaluation, meaning public support now forms part of the overall scoring.
How voting works
Through the Maya app, users can claim free daily votes for their chosen candidate, purchase additional votes for extra support, and access a Premium Pass for live scoring participation during Coronation Night on May 1.
To vote: open the Maya app, tap the MUPh 2026 tile, choose a candidate, and claim free daily votes or purchase additional ones. No complicated steps, no minimum balance required to access the free votes.
Voting periods run in three rounds: April 5 to 11, April 12 to 18, and April 19 to 25. Preliminary rounds can be watched on Empire PH’s YouTube channel.
The KEMELEC campaign
Maya is rolling out the voting push through a campaign called KEMELEC — a playful mash-up of pageant culture and Philippine election season — in partnership with content creators Baus Rufo and Macoy Dubs of Dogshow Divas. The two serve as “Kemessioners,” breaking down MUPh moments and guiding fans on how to convert their support into actual votes through commentary on national costumes, pasarela, and Q&A rounds.
