MMFF Best Actor Cedrick Juan shares journey from theater to film


PHILIPPINES – Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Actor Cedrick Juan, known for his role as Padre Burgos in “Gomburza,” shares his unique journey from theater to film on the upcoming episode of “Tao Po” airing on January 7. The episode, hosted by Bernadette Sembrano, delves into Juan’s transition from performing in independent films to securing both bit and lead roles in mainstream cinema.

Juan opens up about the challenges he faced, including overcoming his family’s objections, to pursue his dream of acting. The segment also touches on his aspirations and goals for 2024. Additionally, the episode features inspiring stories from other individuals, including police staff sergeant and newly-appointed lawyer Adrian Ducat, and Grade 9 student Amelito “Totoy” Funtanilla, who battles cerebral palsy but remains determined to continue his education.

“Tao Po” will broadcast these compelling narratives on January 7 at 2:15PM on A2Z and 6:15 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and ABS-CBN News Online.
