The voting is on! MYX, the #1 music channel in the Philippines has just released the official list of nominees for the MYX Music Awards 2016. The nominations night was held last February 9, 2016 at 12 Monkeys Music Hall and Pub in Makati. The event was hosted by the fun crew of Myx VJs Robi Domingo, Tippy dos Santos and Ai dela Cruz. They were also joined by the new MYX VJ Squad comprised of Sharlene San Pedro, Jarius Aquino, Sarah Carlos and Alex Diaz.
Some of the nominees, including JK Labaho, The Juans, Julian Trono and Mayonnaise were also present during the nominations night and performed before the press and other guests.
The event also launched the online voting which will run until 11:59PM on March 13, 2016. Supporters and fans can vote by simply going to myxph.com/myxmusicawards. Remember, that you can only vote ONCE per IP address, per category.
This year’s mix of nominees is quite interesting, with our favorite kapamilya teleserye princesses Kathryn Bernardo and Nadine Lustre bagging several nominations in different categories. Everyone’s ‘ulitimate bae’ Alden Richards also got nominations under Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Appearance in a Music Video.
The Voice PH Kids Darren Espanto and JK Labaho continue to top bill in several categories and they are joined this year by The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 Grand Champion Jason Dy, being nominated under Favorite New Artist.
