MANILA, Philippines – Photos of a Filipino-looking gay guy and a Caucasian man holding hands in a train are making rounds on social media. We found out that the Pinoy-looking guy is actually a Naparuj Mond Kaendi from Thailand, while the Caucasian man is Thorsten Mid. Thorsten attended a university in Germany and is currently residing in Thailand.
On his Instagram account he describes himself as a Creative Director & Senior Booking Agent from Bacca Model Management, living between Germany & Bangkok.
Photos of Naparuj Mond Kaendi and his boyfriend Thorsten Mid can be seen on Kaendi’s Instagram account as early as August 2012, which leads us to believe that they have been together for almost 32 months or 2.7 years. Kaendi created his account on January 2012.
Filipinos commenting on Facebook and Instagram range from doubt about the authenticity of the photos to jealousy to words of adulation for the couple, branding their relationship as “true love”.
Ram B. commented on Facebook, saying:
“Nasan ang hustisya? San ka ba Leila de Lima? Life is so unfair hahaha Maging happy nalang tayo sa kanila. Ito kasi yung true love.”
