“Be dream oriented, solve the problems along the way and soon you’ll achieve your goals in life,” this was one of the life lessons the students received from one of the speakers at the first major event of the academic year 2017-2018 conducted by the PUP Junior Marketing Executives.
Entitled “Navigate: Transcending the Marketistas’ Travel Goals”, the general assembly was held on June 29, 2017 at the PUP Bulwagang Balagtas. It showcased how both wonderful and exciting a Marketistas’ travel goals should be.
The event kicked off with performances from the talented Marketing Management students as well as the CBA Dance Cadets during the assembly proper.
The program was hosted by Mr. Dennis Sajo and Ms. Johanna Legarta, who boosted the energy of the Marketing students.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the new set of Executive Board and Body of PUP JME which were introduced through a production number with their batch song “Rather Be”. They swore their oath of service together with the class presidents of each section in front of the whole PUP Marketing Management body.
The main highlight of the event was the two speakers invited, Mr. Jose Mari Basa and Ms. Alexandria Nicole Ramos, both alumni of the PUP Marketing Management Department, who shared their travel goals experience to the students to inspire, inform and motivate them become the #marketistagoal they wish to be. They encouraged the students to be abnormal, to be aggressive, and to be dream oriented.
The event continued on to present the Marketing Week, General Plan of Action (GPOA), and Membership perks through audio-visual presentations. In between the talks and presentations, games and raffles were conducted to spice up the event with winners receiving different items from our generous corporate sponsors.
To end the event, Mr. Paul Andrew Buscano, President of PUP JME gave his closing remarks to look forward to the upcoming events of the organization. And as the students went out of the venue hall, they each took home different items from the event sponsors.
