OFWs donate $6,000 to Yolanda victims

MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation’s (ALKFI) Sagip Kapamilya has found another donor in their drive to help the Yolanda victims when the Philippine Nurses Association of South Florida, Inc. (PNASF) reached out through Councilor Allan T. Panaligan of District 2, Pasay City.

“I was asked by my sister-in-law, Liezl Dagum, who is the President of PNASF, to hand carry the checks to be donated to Sagip Kapamilya,” shares Panaligan as he handed the check amounting to $6,000 to ABS-CBN Integrated Public Service head Jerry Bennett and Project Service Group head and current Sagip Kapamilya program director Higino Dungo. PNASF, together with other groups, conducted a fund-raising activity for the Yolanda victims.

The fund-raising activity was done by selling t-shirts which were used by the participants in a walkathon event that they organized. The other organizations that made the fund raising activity possible were the Philippine Charities Foundation, University of Santo Tomas Nursing Association of Florida, the International Nurses Association of America, the Filipino American Association of Florida, and the Philippine Basketball Association of South Florida Inc.
