We just love it when OPPO releases in-ear buds with the discerning Pinoy in mind. The OPPO Enco X2 is OPPO’s flagship pair of earbuds and it has all the features to make it easy for anyone to play games, take calls and watch movies with any digital device.

Here are a few reasons why we think the Enco X2 is one of the best in-ear buds in the market today:

1. The Design

Bud outer – OPPO Enco X2

The OPPO Enco X2 features a stem design which makes it easy to pick the ear buds up and attach to your ears. Semi-oval silicone tips come in three sizes since no pair of ears are the same. According to OPPO, the ear tips feature an antibacterial design that prevents earwax build up.

Upon usage, we can say that ear wax indeed don’t fill up the ear tips of the ear buds. Compared with other ear buds, the OPPO Enco X2 has a great ear tip design.

Handheld in case – OPPO Enco X2

Both the charging case and earbuds come in a glossy finish with silver accents, making them look classy. With its size, light weight and slim build, the case can fit easily in your jeans pocket.

A LED light on the bottom of the case next to the USB-C port serve as a battery indicator when charging. A second LED indicator, located inside the case, shows the battery levels of the earbuds and helps the user pair the ear buds with any device via Bluetooth (when you press the side button on the case, the light blinks white–an indication that the earbuds are ready to be paired).

A sensitive force sensor is used to let you control your earbuds easily and prevent mistouches. You can press the sensor to play or pause audio, double-press to skip forward, triple-press to skip back, press and hold to switch between noise control modes, and slide to adjust the volume. The OPPO Enco X2 earbuds also feature OPPO’s special double-tap camera control—just tap your earbud twice to take a photo or video. Easy, hands-free convenience.

Connectivity

With Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, the OPPO Enco X2 allows users to connect to two devices simultaneously. It’s also easy to switch between them.

Unlike other Bluetooth devices, we found it easy to detect the OPPO Enco X2 and pair with it. As long as you’re within 12 feet of the Bluetooth device, sound quality remains great.

Sound quality

Bud inner – OPPO Enco X2

Clear, crisp sound is what you get with the OPPO Enco X2. Audio quality is great as we watched the latest episode of the House of the Dragon on our laptop.

Active noise cancellation works better indoors compared with outdoors, being effective with average to loud voices and the hum of the air conditioning. Louder outdoor sounds such as the roar of motorcycles were not completely tuned out, but the pair of ear buds worked good enough to help us find some peace and quiet.

Android pairing – OPPO Enco X2

OPPO Enco X2’s 4kHz ANC frequency range means it can effectively cancel out irritating noises such as crying and
tantrums, quarrels, and loud conversations.

Expect good call quality and voice recording with the OPPO Enco X2, since the microphones can capture audio clearly. The OPPO Enco X2 features a bone voiceprint AI, as well, to enhance voice identification accuracy.

The internal sensor can identify and capture the vibrations of the user’s voice, so users can talk to their loved ones anytime without having to worry about the surrounding noise ruining their conversations.

Battery life

The OPPO Enco X2 was able to last about 4 hours with noise cancellation on, and the charging case added three extra charges to the ear buds so they can run for up to 16 hours per charge cycle. The OPPO Enco X2 earbuds also support wireless charging, which is awesome.

What we think

For its price, the OPPO Enco X2 is a reasonably priced top-tier wireless ear buds that will give you great sound and performance. It looks and feels sturdy, and it offers a wide range of features to make you think, “yes, this is a good buy”. It may be a little bit on the pricey end, but it has touch-sensitive controls and offers great sound quality–way above average for its price (Php 8,999).
