MANILA, Philippines – The OPPO F3 will be launched on May 4, according to a press release provided by OPPO Philippines. following the launch of the OPPO F3 Plus last month.

The OPPO F3 series is OPPO’s first smartphone to feature a “dual selfie” camera, with each camera working independently to produce tight or wide-angle shots.

This announcement follows the successful debut of the OPPO F3 Plus last April 1, which reportedly sold 8,000 units within the first 7 days.

Like the F3 Plus, the OPPO F3 inherits the same dual front camera design which includes a 16MP main camera for individual selfies, as well as an 8MP wide-angle secondary camera for group snaps.

This allows users to ditch their selfie sticks and create wide-angle “groufies” without having to worry about cropped faces or leaving anyone behind.

OPPO is keeping the specs and price tightly under wraps, so we will have to wait until May 4 for the official word. We anticipate that it will be lower but close to the OPPO F3 Plus, which touted a 6-inch display and ran on Snapdragon 653.

The OPPO F3 Plus has a retail price of P23,990 – hopefully the OPPO F3 will be priced in the sub-20K range.
