PCCI launches 51st Philippine Business Conference with focus on digital future [event]

TAGUIG CITY, Philippines (Aug 2025) — The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has launched the 51st Philippine Business Conference & Expo (PBC&E), positioning the annual gathering as the country’s largest showcase of digital transformation in business and governance. The event is set for Oct. 20-21, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

With the theme “The Future is Now: Unleash the Power of Digital Transformation,” this year’s conference aims to move past discussions and deliver concrete, actionable solutions for businesses and communities. PCCI officials said the program will feature government priorities, international partnerships, and technology-driven projects.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will lead government participation. DOST will highlight technology-powered disaster recovery initiatives, DICT will demonstrate connectivity infrastructure, while DTI will showcase tools that prepare micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for digital adoption.

“This year is about action — not just talk,” said Dennis Anthony H. Uy, chairman of the 51st PBC&E. “We are creating a space where ideas become projects, where technology meets opportunity, and where the benefits of digital tools are made accessible to all sectors of society.”

The centerpiece of the two-day program is the Tech Showcase, a public expo that will run alongside the conference. Attendees will be able to experience emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, smart city solutions, cybersecurity, and robotics. Major technology players including Converge, Comclark, Huawei, Google, Tencent Cloud International, Lenovo, Fortinet, Hikvision, Salesforce, Dell Technologies, Adobe, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Asus, Canon, IBM, Zoom, and RealMe will present a wide range of solutions. Organizers said this is the first time a technology expo of this scale will be open to the public in the Philippines.

“This is not just an exhibit — it’s an invitation to participate in the country’s digital transformation journey,” said PCCI President Enunina V. Mangio. Pre-registration is required through PCCI’s official website and Facebook page.

The program will also include the National Hackathon Championship, where regional winners from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Metro Manila will compete in Manila. Finalists will pitch tech solutions to real-world challenges in front of industry experts, investors, and government leaders. Winners will receive cash prizes, mentorship, high-speed internet access, and potential adoption of their projects by private and public partners.

Policy discussions remain central to the conference, with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expected to join government and business leaders in tackling issues such as nationwide broadband expansion, MSME financing, digital literacy, AI’s impact on jobs, cybersecurity, and public-private innovation hubs.

Organizers said this year’s event will combine policy forums, business networking, innovation competitions, and hands-on tech demonstrations under one roof, giving participants a comprehensive view of the country’s digital future.

The 51st PBC&E runs Oct. 20-21 at the SMX Convention Center Manila. More details, including registration for the Tech Expo, are available at the PCCI website and official Facebook page.
