Prepare to meet four new vehicles from the biggest motor company of India, Tata Motors Limited, the leader in commercial vehicles and among the top in passenger vehicles.

The Tata Manza INI sedan, the sporty hatchback Tata Vista INI, two sports pick-ups, the Tata Xenon DLS and the Tata Xenon DLE, plus the mini trucks Tata Ace and Tata Super Ace were unveiled at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Tata Motors, the world’s fifth largest truck manufacturer and fourth largest bus manufacturer is represented locally by Pilipinas Taj Autogroup (TAJ).

“The world trusts the brand Tata, people know the quality and reliability that is synonymous with the name. New innovations and technologies are constantly imbibed in the latest vehicles produced by the brand, such as the new generation of diesel-powered engines for commercial vehicles that deliver durable, fuel-efficient vehicles for motorists worldwide. The introduction of the first Indian car brand in the country also signifies the arrival here of vehicles that are more suited to Asian countries with new features that can stand up to other brands in the market.” said David Coyukiat, President and Chairman of Pilipinas Taj Autogroup.

The Tata Manza INI is sleek, has a spacious interior and ample storage, with both power and poise. The Tata Vista INI is youthful and sporty, and comes in fun, bright colors. It too has lots of comfy legroom and runs on a Safire petrol engine unique to Tata Motors.

The Tata Xenon DLS and the Tata Xenon DLE meanwhile are sporty pick-ups, with the DLE sporting a 4×4 Drivetrain and the Tata DLS, 4×2. “They are a perfect blend of looks and performance,” Nicky Mariano, TAJ General Manager said.

Also showcased at MIAS and available for retail in the Philippines starting July are the Tata Ace and Tata Super Ace. These diesel mini trucks are durable, fuel-saving and provide optimum capacity for both seating and loading, making for a great vehicle choice for enterprising Pinoys.

“Tata Motors brings affordable, durable vehicles that are fuel-efficient and caters to the needs of the market. It is the leading, most trusted motoring brand in India, and we are confident that we can provide the same quality and value to the Philippine motoring industry,” Mariano added.

Tata Motors provides a diverse range of vehicles – from sedans to fire trucks, army vehicles to service trucks and even compact SUVs. The commercial and passenger vehicles of Tata Motors have markets in several countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia and South America, and has now come to the Philippines.

“The timely arrival of Tata Motors in the country with the resurgence of the Philippine economy will mean that our vehicles can become a partner for growth and development for many Filipinos, especially in the automotive industry. Tata Motors’ vision and objective is to produce vehicles geared to become “workhorses” for driving.” David Coyukiat added.

More models and types of commercial and passenger vehicles of Tata Motors are expected to launch in the Philippines this 2014. Pilipinas Taj Autogroup showrooms for the Tata Manza INI, Tata Vista INI, Tata Xenon DLS, Tata Xenon DLE, Tata Ace and Tata Super Ace are in Marcos Highway, Cainta, Rizal and Barrio Pampanga, Davao City.
