WATCH: Friends turned lovers ‘Power duo’ gets first golden buzzer in Pilipinas Got Talent 5

Impressing the judges and the audience with their world class and heartfelt performance, the dance act of “Power Duo” earned the very first ‘Golden Buzzer’ on Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 5 during the second day of auditions.

Judge Robin Padilla decided to press the ‘golden buzzer’ to send them directly to the live semi-finals.

“Slice of heaven. Sobrang galing niyo,” Angel Locsin commented.

Aside from being impressed in their performance, the judges were also touched in their blossoming love story. The two has been friends for a year and the guy has been courting the girl for two months already. Vice Ganda then asked the guy to ask her dance partner if he has a chance through a dance.

Amazed by the Power duo’s chemistry, Vice Ganda then advised “Bitbitin niyo yang love na ‘yan. Yan ang magdadala ng magic at ‘yan magpapanalo sa inyo.”

On this season, each judge is allowed to press the buzzer only once during the whole duration of the auditions.

This season also marks the first time the judges will use the Golden Buzzer. If any of the judges decides to press the Golden Buzzer, the contestant instantly goes straight to the semi-finals.

Netizens, meanwhile, expressed their reactions in Twitter. The hashtag #PGT5Pasabog also landed #1 in the the trending spot in the Philippines.

Hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano, the local adaptation of the worldwide hit franchise gets even bigger this season as PGT welcomes a new set of judges.
