Bataan school gets 4,000 MacBooks from Power Mac Center

BATAAN, Philippines (Mar 2025) — More than 4,000 MacBook devices have been distributed to teachers and schools across Bataan as part of a partnership between the Provincial Government of Bataan and Power Mac Center (PMC). The initiative aims to enhance digital learning and equip educators with modern tools to improve teaching in the province.

The turnover ceremony, led by Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III, provided laptops to elementary teachers, school heads, and computer laboratories in various schools. The move is part of Bataan’s broader effort to integrate technology into education, making classrooms more interactive and engaging.

“Power Mac Center is honored to support Bataan’s educators in embracing a tech-driven learning environment,” said Joey Alvarez, PMC’s Director for Marketing and Product Management. “We look forward to working with more local governments and schools to help Filipino students become globally competitive.”

Comprehensive Support for Digital Learning

As a dedicated education partner, PMC is providing Bataan with more than just hardware. The partnership includes priority service, repairs, and technical training for teachers, school principals, and IT personnel. Training sessions will focus on maximizing Mac devices for education, helping educators create innovative lesson plans and enhance student engagement.

Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Garcia highlighted the province’s commitment to education, emphasizing that their Special Education Fund (SEF) is being used effectively. “Alam natin na makakatulong ito sa inyong pagtuturo at paggawa ng lesson plans (We know that this will help you in teaching and creating lesson plans),” she said.

This is the second major rollout of MacBooks in Bataan, following the success of the first batch, which benefited over 2,500 junior and senior high school teachers and division supervisors in 2023.

Expanding Access to Apple-Powered Learning

PMC has been actively expanding its education business, offering tailored solutions that include device procurement, accessories, service, and training. Schools and universities can even request Customized-to-Order (CTO) units to match their specific needs.

In Central Luzon, PMC has multiple retail locations, including branches in Bataan (SM City Bataan, Vista Mall Bataan), Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Zambales, making it easier for local government units (LGUs) and educational institutions to access Apple products and services.

Students, faculty, and school administrators can also take advantage of special education pricing on iMacs, MacBooks, iPads, Apple TVs, and Mac accessories at any Power Mac Center and The Loop store nationwide. Flexible payment options are available.
