Pru Life UK proudly celebrates a strong showing at the 13th annual Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards, earning one Silver and two Bronze awards in recognition of its impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes and thought leadership initiatives that continue to uplift Filipino communities.
The Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards honour innovation across 29 countries in the region, recognising organisations that drive excellence in business, sustainability, and social impact.
Leading this year’s achievements is the Silver Stevie® Award for Innovative Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility given to Cha-Ching, an award-winning financial education programme for children by Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudential plc, in partnership with Pru Life UK and JA Philippines. The programme continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact, evolving from a classroom initiative into a broader movement for financial education. With over 1.5 million students reached and growing integration into regional curricula, Cha-Ching is helping equip young Filipinos with essential money management skills.
“Cha‑Ching reflects our belief that financial literacy is a critical foundation for building financial wellbeing,” said Nicole Ngeow, Executive Director of Prudence Foundation. “Since 2016, the Cha-Ching curriculum has reached more than 3.9 million children and trained more than 123,500 teachers across 17 markets in Asia and Africa, equipping them with practical financial skills that support lifelong resilience. This recognition affirms our commitment to building financial resilience for the next generation, especially in communities where these skills can make a great difference.”
Pru Life UK also secured two Bronze Stevie® Awards, underscoring the breadth of its impact-driven initiatives. Its Takaful journey as the Philippines’ first Takaful Window operator was recognised under Thought Leadership Campaign of the Year for promoting greater awareness and understanding of Shariah-compliant protection. The initiative was marked by the launch of PRUTerm Lindungi, the country’s first Shariah-compliant Family Takaful offering. Through sustained, multi-sector engagement and education, the initiative continues to build trust and expand access to ethical and inclusive financial protection for underserved communities.
Meanwhile, the Adopt-a-Madrasah, implemented by Pru Life UK in partnership with Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), was honoured for Innovative Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility. Serving as a key community investment programme supporting Pru Life UK’s Takaful operations, it demonstrates how collaboration and innovation advance Takaful education and inclusive protection by supporting underserved Islamic schools in Mindanao through enhanced access to learning resources and capacity-building.
“We are delighted to be recognised once again at the Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards,” said Atty. Calvin Kohchet-Chua, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal, Government Relations, and Sustainability Officer at Pru Life UK. “These awards reflect our continued commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact. We remain focused on empowering Filipinos through financial education, inclusive protection, and sustainable community development.”
This latest recognition highlights Pru Life UK’s continued efforts to deliver initiatives that contribute to inclusive growth and long-term community resilience.
