KASARIANLAN is an organization in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines for students living with diverse SOGIE. We aim to create a safe space where our co-students from different colleges and campuses can be who they are, freely express themselves, and get the support they need, side by side with straight allies.
In celebration of the existence and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community inside the campus, KASARIANLAN will spearhead its annual PUP Pride. The event is hailed from Pride Marches celebrated all around the world. We started celebrating PUP Pride in 2017 for we believe that it is important for our community to be recognized and validated, and one way of upholding our right to exist is to start within the cradles of our university.
This event will cater all students and professors from the above-mentioned university. The expected number of attendees is approximately 500 and will run for three (3) days from March 24 to March 26, 2022, via Zoom. The theme for the event is Alpas: Pasismo Buwagin, Sistema ay Baguhin.
There will also be a wide variety of activities during the entire Pride week including webinars, movie nights, and performances.
