PHILIPPINES – Tuason Racing School and Phoenix Pulse staged a virtual contest earlier this week. The event aims to bring together car racing and gaming enthusiasts in order to help the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
For every e-racer who joins, Tuason Racing will donate a meal to one of the frontliners in Metro Manila’s hospitals. Aside from securing the commitment to provide meals, the event was successful in pooling together cash donations which will go directly to the brave frontliners.
“Expanding into E-sports is one of the highlights of our 21st year in the business. We have been bringing racers to compete all over the world. This time we are opening another career ladder, a virtual one,” said Tuason.
“With the ongoing situation, we believe we can hit two birds with one stone, first is to be able to do our part and help frontliners. The second one is to provide racing enthusiasts a worthwhile activity while they stay home and help flatten the curve.” He added.
LG Philippines also joins the #RaceForFrontliners as the official display partner of Tuason Racing. LG’s OLED TVs will be used to broadcast the race as it happens during the Live Games after the Enhanced Community Quarantine is lifted.
For gamers, LG UltraGear Gaming Monitors offer high refresh rates, fast response times, fluid motion, crisp details, and certified eye comfort display.
“We admire and wholeheartedly support Tuason Racing School and Phoenix Pulse for their initiative in both helping out the frontliners as well as fostering an environment of friendly competition,” says Inkwun Heo, Managing Director for LG Philippines.
“A sense of normalcy during these times is something that everyone needs. We at LG are more than happy to lend a hand in any way we can,” added Heo.
