PHILIPPINES – Xiaomi Philippines today announced the arrival of its newest Snapdragon 662-powered smartphone, the Redmi 9T. Designed to deliver the exceptional performance and multi-day battery life, it touts a 48MP AI quad rear-camera system and a 6,000 mAh battery.
Its online launch, played with Redmi 9T’s tagline, #PowerUp, featured a powerful performance from Filipino parkour athletes.
In the Philippines, the Xiaomi Redmi 9T will be available for purchase online via Shopee and Lazada from January 29.
Develop cinematic photos, spend less time editing
Redmi 9T is a photography powerhouse with its 48MP AI quad rear-camera. The device’s 8MP ultra-wide angle camera accommodates large group photos and wide landscape shots without cropping, while its 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor enable stunning close-up shots with professional-level bokeh.
Redmi 9T is also equipped with a new movie frame feature that gives photos a more cinematic look and feel without editing. It also sports a new time-lapse feature which offers various speed and duration values for shooting so users can capture creative time-lapse photos without tapping a DSLR or other professional camera.

Despite its lightweight design, Redmi 9T packs a punch with its 6,000mAh (typ) battery and Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 662 chipset. Price and availability in the Philippines
Redmi 9T will be available in 4GB + 64GB at a price of PHP 6,990.00. Meanwhile, the 6GB + 128GB version will be available at PHP 7,990.00. Both of Redmi 9T’s versions will be on sale at the Xiaomi Philippines Flagship Store on on Lazada and Shopee on January 29, 2021. There will be a special offering of PHP500 off for the 4+64GB variant for 24 hours.
The new Redmi 9T will also be available with exclusive freebies at Authorized Mi Stores and resellers only during the official sale.
