Samsung Finance+ offers Pinoys 0% interest for Galaxy phones, no fees required

MANILA, Philippines — Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with Union Bank of the Philippines, has launched Samsung Finance+ in the Philippines, offering flexible payment options for Galaxy devices. This move aims to make high-quality technology more accessible to Filipinos, blending innovation with affordability.

Easier access to Galaxy devices
Samsung Finance+ is an application-based financing program, supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). It enables customers to purchase Galaxy devices with no processing fees, 0% interest, and, in some cases, zero downpayment. The entire application process, available at over 1,000 stores nationwide, is fully digital and takes just 20-30 minutes.

Once approved, customers can instantly select their preferred device, including the latest Galaxy models such as the Galaxy A16 LTE and 5G, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, and the Galaxy S24 Series. Loan terms can go up to 24 months, giving users flexibility in managing their finances.

Fast, secure, and customer-friendly
Samsung Finance+ boasts security features through Samsung Knox Guard, offering hardware-level protection against loss, theft, or financial default. The Knox Guard system can remotely lock devices, ensuring safety even in unfortunate situations.

Additionally, the service aims to promote better financial habits. Once a loan is approved, a Samsung Finance+ app is automatically installed on the device. This app offers tools to track repayment schedules and access payment options, helping users stay on top of their obligations.

Empowering Filipinos through technology
Min Su Chu, President of Samsung Electronics Philippines, emphasized accessibility during the launch, saying, “Our goal is to provide the opportunity for more Filipinos to experience the Galaxy ecosystem. With Samsung Finance+, owning a Galaxy device is now easier, more accessible, and worry-free than ever before.”

UnionBank’s Institutional Banking Head, Ana Aboitiz-Delgado, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the partnership’s potential to empower Filipinos in a digital-first world. “Together, we are making innovative technology more accessible, empowering individuals to achieve their goals and stay connected,” she said.

Expanding reach in 2025
Partner dealers at the launch shared positive feedback about the platform, noting how it encouraged customers to upgrade to Galaxy devices. They expressed optimism for the service’s continued growth, with expansion plans set for 2025.
