MANILA, Philippines (Mar. 2026) — Samsung’s Galaxy A37 and A57 5G series aim to deliver high-end features without the flagship price tag. These new mid-range phones follow last year’s A36 and A56 series, offering a mix of design upgrades, improved cameras, and solid performance.
Colors and design
The Galaxy A37 5G comes in charcoal, evergreen, white, and lavender, while the A57 5G offers awesome gray, navy, icy blue, and lilac. Both devices are slimmer and lighter than their predecessors. The A57 feels more premium with metallic edges and thinner bezels, while the A37 has a slightly larger footprint with plastic edges. Antenna lines on the A57 also help distinguish it from the A37.
Performance and connectivity
Under the hood, the A37 5G uses the Exynos 1480 chipset and the A57 5G runs on the Exynos 1680 5G, both built on a 4nm process. WiFi 6E is available on the A57, and both devices support IP68 dust and water resistance, an upgrade from last year’s IP67 rating.
Display and battery
Both phones sport Super AMOLED Plus screens with peak brightness reaching 1,900 nits. They pack 5,000 mAh batteries and support 45W fast charging, making them capable of lasting a full day on heavy use.
Camera upgrades
The A37 5G features a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide, and 5-megapixel macro sensor, while the A57 5G upgrades the ultrawide to 12 megapixels and adds a 12-megapixel selfie camera. Enhanced image processing reduces noise for clearer photos and videos, although neither model includes a telephoto lens.
Memory and pricing
The A37 starts at PHP 25,990 (approx. $470) for the 8GB/128GB model, with a 256GB option for PHP 27,990 (approx. $507) discounted to PHP 26,490 (approx. $480).
The A57 starts at PHP 28,990 (approx. $525) for 8GB/128GB, with 8GB/256GB at PHP 30,990 (approx. $562) discounted to PHP 29,490 (approx. $535), and 12GB/512GB priced at PHP 37,990 (approx. $685).
All Philippine purchases include a free protective case, travel adapter, and a two-year extended warranty.
Software and updates
Both devices come with Samsung’s latest software features and a promise of six major OS updates with six years of security updates, ensuring long-term support for users.
