QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Apr 15) – Samsung launched its latest Galaxy A series smartphones in the Philippines, introducing new artificial intelligence features just ahead of the summer season.
The new lineup includes the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G. These models incorporate AI tools aimed at enhancing photos, productivity, and search capabilities, making mobile AI more accessible.
The Galaxy A56 5G features several AI tools. Circle to Search with Google allows users to search by circling items on their screen. Unique to the A56 within this series is the Best Face feature, which works with Motion Photo to let users select the best facial expression for each person in group shots, correcting blinks or unflattering looks. Enhanced Object Eraser removes unwanted elements from photos. For productivity, AI Select analyzes on-screen content like videos or calendar invites and suggests relevant actions, such as creating a GIF or adding an event to the calendar.
The Galaxy A36 5G targets users focused on entertainment and gaming. It has an octa-core processor, a larger vapor chamber for cooling, and a 5,000 mAh battery for extended use. The 6.7 inch display features a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits brightness for smooth video playback. This model also includes Circle to Search, Enhanced Object Eraser, and My Filter, which analyzes photos to suggest custom looks.
Positioned as a value option, the Galaxy A26 5G includes AI photo tools like Create Filter, Enhanced Object Eraser, Edit Suggestion, and Photo Remaster for quick photo improvements. It also carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, suitable for beach trips or outdoor use.
The Galaxy A26 5G is available in Awesome Black, Awesome Mint, and Awesome Peach Pink (online exclusive). Pricing is P15,990 for the 6GB+128GB model and P17,990 for the 8GB+256GB version. The Galaxy A36 5G comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Black, and Awesome White. It costs P19,990 for the 8GB+128GB model (online exclusive) and P21,990 for the 8GB+256GB model. The Galaxy A56 5G is available in Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Pink, priced at P23,990 for the 8GB+128GB configuration (online exclusive) and P25,990 for the 8GB+256GB version.
