Samsung Philippines introduced the first batch of top young tech innovators and trailblazers, content creators, and sustainability advocates, more known as the Samsung Galaxy Campus Student Ambassadors, to be part of their first-ever Galaxy Campus program in the Philippines. The event was held last Dec. 16 and 17 at the Grand Hyatt Manila in BGC, Taguig City.
During the event, the student ambassadors had a meaningful discussion with the lifestyle, fashion, and creative content creator Jas Reyes. they also have an exclusive workshop with Tiktok Philippines where they can showcase their skills in content creation using their short videos.
Aside from exclusive workshops and talks, the Galaxy Campers were able to get to know each other more through their games and sessions in the latest technology used by Samsung, as they were given a swag kit that consisted of a Samsung S23FE, a Samsung Watch, and a Samsung Tablet. the latest mobile offering- the Samsung S23FE, is built in with camera features such as nightography, which features night selfie and night video functions for clearer photos in low-light settings, and Photo Remaster which helps improve old and blurry photos.
Out of 3,672 student applicants, only fifty students from all over the country were selected as they went through the rigorous process of screenings and panel interviews, and the chosen student ambassadors will get a chance to hone their skills in content creation and online storytelling in the 6-month training program. The program includes sessions on Samsung’s latest technologies, such as the newest line of Samsung smartphones, motivational hangouts, and marketing workshops.
In the coming months, they will have an exclusive sneak peek at Galaxy S products and Galaxy A products, get special access to Samsung events, such as product launches and activations, and take part in environmental initiatives.
Apart from testing their creativity and leadership abilities, solo and group missions also provide opportunities to win unique merchandise and other rewards from their Galaxy family.
During the kick-off event, Samsung Philippines Electronics Corporation (SEPCO) President Min Su Chu shared, “When we saw the kind of impact this program made in Samsung’s other markets, we knew right away we wanted to bring it here to the Philippines. It is our privilege to help kickstart the innovation journey of the Filipino youth, and we are looking forward to honing generations of local tech talent in the years to come.”
