Just in time for the coming season, Christmas. Repertory Philippines’ produced a very nice musical play entitled SCROOGE THE MUSICAL. The Repertory Philippines’ production of SCROOGE THE MUSICAL is directed by Ms. Baby Barredo, the company’s artistic director.
SCROOGE THE MUSICAL is an adaptation by renowned writer-composer-lyricist Leslie Bricusse of the classic short story ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens.
The story is about the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge who undergoes a rofound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
I watched the press preview of the show and it was amazing. The actors did a great job in acting as well in singing, that you find yourself singing with them too. A night of relaxing music and nice details of props and costumes just made the play very fun to watch.
