MANILA, Philippines (Mar 2026) — A group of Smart Postpaid subscribers got their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series before almost anyone else in the country, and the event that came with it was more than just a product preview.
On March 6, Smart hosted an exclusive early release event at the Smart Store in SM Megamall, gathering subscribers, Samsung fans, and early adopters for a first look at the Galaxy S26 lineup. Dubbed “First Step into the Future with Galaxy AI,” the evening mixed hands-on product exploration with entertainment, interactive games, and creative activities.
What happened at the event
Guests arrived to acoustic music and a set of interactive booths designed to showcase Galaxy AI in action. Activities included a challenge where attendees tried to distinguish real images from AI-generated ones, an ultra-zoom guessing game using the Galaxy S26’s camera, and live demos of AI-powered photo editing tools including Generative Edit and Photo Assist.
Attendees also customized phone charms and printed Instax photos on-site. The evening’s centerpiece was the reveal of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which was unveiled to the crowd before a special raffle where 26 pre-order customers won Samsung Galaxy Buds 3.
“From Everyday AI that helps with daily tasks to Agentic AI that understands context and takes action, the phone becomes more than a tool — it becomes a smart companion,” said Rhomel Marcojos, Head of Operator Business at Samsung Philippines.
The trade-in program now open to subscribers
Starting March 27, Smart Postpaid and Infinity subscribers can take advantage of the Smart-Samsung Trade-In Program at select Smart Stores. The program allows customers to trade in their current device when upgrading to the Galaxy S26 Series, unlocking savings of up to 45% on the new phone. A separate experience for Smart Infinity members
On the same day, Smart Infinity held its own private preview event at Txoko – Asador Restaurante in Makati City, titled “Infinity Exclusives: Luxury Redefined for the AI Era.” The gathering brought together longtime Infinity members from Metro Manila and Batangas, including designer and entrepreneur Len Cabili, for an intimate first look at the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra.
Infinity Relationship Managers hand-delivered new devices to members during the event. Giveaways included VIP tickets to Jesus Christ Superstar and premium items from Samsung and UnionBank Wealth.
