And the awards night must go on and so they did! The 56th Baeksang Arts Awards held June 5, 2020 in Goyang, South Korea went on despite not having their usual huge crowd of audience to cheer for their Korean actors and actresses in the movie and television categories.
Considered as South Korea’s counterpart of the Oscar’s, competition was tight among it’s popular nominees who are no strangers to major acting events. Present in their handsome suits and gorgeous elegant gowns were, Ju Ji-hoon, Kim Hye-soo, Kim Hee-ae, Park Seo-joon, Kim Da-mi, Kwon Nara, Jung Hae-in, Namgoong-min, Gong Hyo-jin, Son Ye-jin, Hyun Bin, Kim Soo-hyun, Jo Jung-suk, Seo Ji-hye, Kang Ha-neul, and Han So-hee with Hae Jun-park.
Fans and supporters viewed the awards night via YouTube and Twitter livestreaming.

Hosting the awards night for the 3rd straight year were Shin Dong Yup, Suzy and Park Bo Gum.
It was also notable that due to the ongoing pandemic on CoVid-19, the Baeksang Arts Awards could be considered as the first award-giving body who carefully observed and adhered to the new normal of social distancing protocol by the WHO World Health Organization.
