To celebrate its 17th year, the UP Broadcasters’ Guild is holding TAGISAN 2015: Media Connected, a media literacy quiz bee exclusively for high school students from all over the country.
For the first time since its inception, this year’s TAGISAN will also be offering students a series of seminar-workshops.
Tagisan aims to promote media literacy and active awareness regarding current events and pop culture in the Philippines, as well as to equip students with the basic skills and knowledge needed for the responsible use of media.
The UP Broadcasters’ Guild hopes that this would help them to appreciate the Philippine media more, and encourage them to enter the field of mass communication.
