MANILA, Philippines (Feb 2025) — The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has signed a long-term partnership with global technology company TCL, securing its role as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner through 2032. The agreement makes TCL the official partner in the Home Audiovisual Equipment and Home Appliances category, supporting both athletes and fans with its latest technology.
As part of the collaboration, TCL will integrate its products into the Olympic experience—from digital displays at event venues to household appliances in the Olympic Village. The company will also contribute to the IOC’s Olympic AI Agenda, enhancing fan engagement and athlete experiences on-site and at home. A key initiative under this partnership is the “Athletes Moments” program, which enables competitors to connect with their loved ones immediately after their events.
The financial impact of the deal extends beyond the Games. The IOC will redistribute its revenue from the partnership to support sports organizations worldwide, including National Olympic Committees and the organizing committees for upcoming Olympic and Youth Olympic Games.
IOC President Thomas Bach welcomed the partnership, calling TCL a “world leader in the television and household goods industries.” He noted that the company’s long-standing support for sports aligns with the Olympic mission to inspire greatness on a global stage.
TCL Founder and Chairman Li Dongsheng echoed the sentiment, stating, “The Olympic Games inspire billions of people, and through this partnership, TCL’s innovations will empower the event and enhance experiences for fans worldwide.” He emphasized the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and innovation.
TCL, which has been involved in global sports sponsorships for decades, plans to showcase a range of smart technologies at the Games, including advanced displays, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, smart locks, audio systems, projectors, and RayNeo smart glasses.
Founded in 1981, TCL has grown into a global technology brand with operations in over 160 countries. With 46 research and development centers and 38 manufacturing bases worldwide, the company focuses on building a “sustainable and connected future” through intelligent innovations.
Jiří Kejval, Chair of the IOC Revenues and Commercial Partnerships Commission, highlighted TCL’s rapid global growth, stating, “The TOP Programme continues to offer leading brands an unmatched marketing platform, and we are pleased to welcome TCL to the Olympic family.”
With the partnership in place, TCL and the IOC aim to bring the Olympic spirit to a wider audience, delivering enhanced experiences through cutting-edge technology.
