MANILA, Philippines (Jun 2025) – Chinese smartphone maker TECNO has officially launched its POVA 7 series in the Philippines, targeting the growing mobile gaming market with three new devices designed for next-generation users.
The launch comes with a major partnership announcement. TECNO Philippines revealed the POVA 7 series as the official smartphone partner for PUBG MOBILE Challenges League Southeast Asia and PUBG MOBILE Super League Southeast Asia, positioning the brand at the center of the region’s premier mobile esports competitions.
The series debuts with three models: the flagship POVA 7 Ultra 5G, the curved-screen POVA Curve 5G, and the performance-focused POVA 7. All three devices feature what TECNO calls “Interstellar Spaceship Design” with minimalist aesthetics and triangular geometry elements.
The POVA 7, launching June 26, targets budget-conscious gamers with a 7,000mAh battery, 45W fast charging, and MediaTek Helio G100 processor. The device offers 36.76 hours of daily use and can charge to 50% in 30 minutes. Available configurations include 16GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB storage, with 8GB extended RAM capability.
“We’re delivering not just raw power, but intelligent power that adapts to our users’ real-world needs,” said Jack Guo, General Manager of TECNO Philippines.
Gaming features include the HyperEngine Game Engine, advanced cooling system, and Dolby Atmos dual speakers. A standout feature called FreeLink enables peer-to-peer calls and messages up to 1 kilometer without cellular signal, targeting outdoor enthusiasts and emergency situations.
The devices run HiOS 15 Special, featuring system-wide customization options and what TECNO describes as a “bloat-free experience.” AI integration includes Ask Ella smart assistant, AI call translation, noise cancellation, and Circle to Search functionality.
Pricing starts at PHP 6,999 for the 16GB+128GB model and PHP 7,999 for the 16GB+256GB version. Launch promotions offer the base model for PHP 5,999 on TikTok and the higher-end model for PHP 6,749 on Shopee, both on June 26.
The flagship POVA 7 Ultra 5G and POVA Curve 5G will arrive in the Philippines during the third quarter of 2025. The Ultra 5G features a 6,000mAh battery with 70W wired and 30W wireless charging, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor.
Filipino consumers can purchase the POVA 7 in Geek Black, Magic Silver, and Hyper Titanium colors through online platforms starting June 26 during the Back to School Sale Campaign.
