MANILA, Philippines (Aug 2025) – A new contender has entered the Philippine mobile gaming arena, aiming to provide top-tier performance for the country’s next generation of champions. Technology brand TECNO unveiled its POVA 7 series today, led by the POVA 7 Ultra 5G, which it claims is the number one official gaming phone in the Philippines for 2025.
The new series, which also includes the POVA Curve 5G and the base POVA 7 model, is designed for high-performance gaming and all-day entertainment. According to a press release obtained by our editors, the flagship POVA 7 Ultra 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate AI Processor. It features a durable 6000mAh battery supported by 70W Ultra Charge and, for the first time in the series, a 30W Wireless Fast Charge capability.
TECNO has solidified its local gaming credentials through key partnerships. The POVA 7 Ultra 5G is the official gaming phone for PMSL SEA & PMCL, the Philippine national esports team SIBOL, and the HOK Philippines Kings League (PKL). This collaboration aims to empower Filipino esports athletes in their campaigns for local and international tournaments.

Inspired by an “Interstellar Spaceship Design,” the phone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K Smooth AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals. To manage heat during long gaming sessions, a Hyper Cooling System uses a 12-layer architecture. A unique feature called FreeLink allows peer-to-peer calls and messages from up to one kilometer away in areas without a mobile signal. The device also runs on a new HiOS 15, which TECNO describes as the most significant operating system evolution in POVA’s history, offering more customization and a clean interface.
Further strengthening its local focus, TECNO has partnered with DITO Mobile and PUBG Mobile to create the “Perfect Gaming Squad” bundle. This includes a DITO Prepaid Gaming SIM, which provides unlimited access to PUBG Mobile for subscribers of select DITO promos.
The POVA 7 Ultra 5G has a standard retail price of PhP16,999. Buyers can explore several introductory offers to get the new device, complete with freebies, at a lower price.
