TerraMaster F4-424 Pro NAS launched with improved performance and features


PHILIPPINES – TerraMaster, renowned for its innovative storage solutions, recently unveiled the F4-424 Pro, an advanced 4-bay NAS, as part of its new 424 series. This latest offering represents a significant upgrade over the 423 series, featuring the Intel 12th Generation CPU Alder Lake N95, 8GB DDR5 memory, enhanced network connectivity with two 2.5GB ports, and expanded storage options including two M.2 NVMe sockets. A notable addition is the USB Type-C and USB Type A interfaces, contributing to a 40% boost in overall performance compared to its predecessors.

The F4-424 Pro, a standout in the series, is equipped with an Intel Core i3 CPU and can support up to 32GB DDR5 memory, addressing the high-performance requirements of both individual and business users. Alongside the hardware advancements, the 424 series will operate on the new TOS 5.1 operating system, with a future upgrade path to TerraMaster TOS 6.

Key features of the F4-424 Pro include an 8-core, 8-thread Core i3 CPU, integrated UHD GPU, 32GB DDR5 memory, and dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, making it an ideal solution for small and medium-sized businesses seeking peak NAS performance. The device achieves a 150% performance improvement over its predecessor, with faster application response, increased file retrieval speed, and enhanced database and PHP response times.

In terms of transmission speed, the F4-424 Pro features dual 2.5 GbE interfaces, achieving impressive data transmission speeds and supporting Link Aggregation for enhanced bandwidth. Its USB 3.2 Gen2 interfaces enable swift data transfer with external devices. Additionally, the device is equipped to handle virtualized applications, including VirtualBox and Docker, reducing IT investment costs for businesses.

The F4-424 Pro also excels in backup solutions, offering centralized and duple backup, snapshot, CloudSync, TFM Backup, and support for various RAID types. Ease of installation is assured with a specially designed side sliding cover for M.2 SSDs and hand-tightened screws.

Noise reduction is another area where the F4-424 Pro shines, thanks to TerraMaster’s new structure and sound-absorbing panels, which reduce noise levels by 50% compared to previous generations. The standby mode noise level is an impressively low 21dB.

The TerraMaster F4-424 Pro is part of the 424 series, which also includes the F2-424 and F4-424 models, catering to the needs of home users, small offices/home offices (SOHO), and small businesses. Currently available in the United States and select European markets, the F4-424 Pro is set to be widely released in other markets soon.
