13,800 Filipinos land jobs through nationwide job fair

MANILA, Philippines – This year, over 13,800 jobseekers found jobs on the spot at Jobstreet by SEEK’s nationwide job fair, “Trabaho Para sa Bayan: J.O.B.S.” In partnership with SM Supermalls and the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC), this fair aimed to help Filipinos find jobs that match their skills and ambitions.

A collaborative effort for Filipinos

Trabaho Para sa Bayan: J.O.B.S launched in January, and has since then filled thousands of job openings across various industries in the Philippines. According to Dannah Majarocon, Managing Director of Jobstreet by SEEK Philippines, “Jobstreet feels honored to have helped so many people secure employment through this campaign.”

Addressing skills mismatch

This initiative goes beyond hiring; it aims to bridge the gap between job skills and industry demands. By hosting in-person job fairs at SM Malls nationwide, along with daily online job fairs on the Jobstreet platform, this campaign is helping jobseekers find positions that fit their skill sets.

Career hub resources for jobseekers

Jobstreet by SEEK has also launched Career Hub, an online resource to help jobseekers build essential skills, such as resume writing and interview techniques.

Expanding opportunities through upcoming events

More in-person job fairs are planned for SM malls in various cities, including Trece Martires, North Edsa, and Lucena. Stay tuned to Jobstreet by SEEK’s announcements for additional locations.
