HANOI, Vietnam (Sep 2025) – VinFast has officially delivered a specialized fleet of Lạc Hồng 900 LX vehicles to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, built to transport international heads of state. The handover coincides with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day.
According to a press release obtained by our editors, the Lạc Hồng 900 LX is a limited-edition flagship model that symbolizes Vietnam’s cultural heritage and national pride. The vehicle’s name references the Vietnamese legend of the “Descendants of the Dragon and Fairy.” It is available in two versions: a Standard edition and an Armored edition.
The Armored version, developed in partnership with INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing (Canada), is certified to the VPAM VR7 standard. This is considered one of the world’s most stringent protection levels for state leaders. The vehicle was tested at Beschussamt Ulm in Germany, withstanding 440 live rounds and 11 explosive blasts. It can protect occupants from NATO Ball M80 rifle ammunition and DM51 grenades. It also features reinforced bodywork, bullet-resistant glass, run-flat tires, and other emergency systems.
Both variants have a 3,349 mm wheelbase and exterior details that celebrate Vietnamese heritage. The design includes a gold-plated logo shaped like the mythical Lạc bird and a grille inspired by Đông Sơn bronze drums. The cabin is crafted with premium materials such as Golden Nanmu wood, Nappa leather, and genuine gold detailing. The interior offers executive seating, a soundproof glass partition, and an advanced intercom system.
The first fleet delivered to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes two Armored units and ten Standard units.

The Lạc Hồng 900 LX will be on display at the exhibition “80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” from August 28 to September 5, 2025, at the National Exhibition Fair Center in Đông Anh, Hanoi.
