PASAY, Philippines – Jejomar C. Binay, Vice President of the Philippines, will be delivering a speech in response to the issues raised in the Senate hearings. He is expected to address issues and allegations of corruption surrounding the controversial Makati City Hall office and parking building.
The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee previously sent an invitation to VP Binay to attend the Senate investigation. Senate President Franklin Drilon and Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III issued a statement that they are not in favor of issuing a subpoena out of respect for the Vice President’s office.
The speech will be delivered at 2pm today at the PICC, CCP Complex, Pasay City.
