Two major films that came out over the last year were brought to an island with a vibe unlike any other earlier this month, as the country’s number one cable channel launched a film screening event in the Philippines’ most popular travel destination.
The Cinema One Boracay Beach Screening gave all those present on the island’s shores a chance to catch box-office hit “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?” starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim back-to-back with Cinema One Originals film “Blue Bustamante” in one massive celebration on the sand.
Vacationers and beach bummers flocked to Club Paraw in Station 1 of Boracay Island for this cool summer event that was hosted by favorite comedians John “Sweet” Lapus and Pokwang, with artists Jef Gaitan, Alex Castro, and Yves Flores also eager to take part in the celebration.
Cinema One made things extra enjoyable by taking the romantic fun of “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?” and old-school feel of “Blue Bustamante” and created a school-fair themed event the brought back fond memories of high school. Prior to the films being screened that evening, guests went around Cinema One’s fair booths, which included a jail booth, marriage booth, kissing booth, ring toss booth, dedication booth and many more–leaving them nostalgic with colorful high school memories.
The cool night wind and relaxing waves splashing became the perfect backdrop for the performance of hit rock band Calla Lily who kept more than 1,500 guests partying all night long.
