Microsoft first introduced Fast Startup in Windows 8. This feature has been carried over to Windows 10, allowing boot up speeds of less than 10 seconds.
This video shows just how fast Windows 10 can boot. Using an average system with Windows 10 installed on an SSD (solid-state drive), we were able to accomplish extremely fast boot times.
The fastest boot time shown in the video is only 8 seconds, coming from a cold boot – system fully powered off – all the way to the Windows login screen.
