World Premieres Film Festival Slated June 29 to July 10

I simply love it when film festivals come in one after the other like the World Premieres Film Festival Philippines.
To film buffs out there like me, let’s celebrate the best of Philippine cinema this June to July!

Do take note of the important details on this much-awaited festival.

The 3rd World Premieres Film Festival (WPFF) celebrates the power and magic of film by featuring a dazzling array of human narratives and cultural diversities, providing a unique opportunity for talented international and local filmmakers to reach new audiences in the Philippines, and across Asia’s rapidly growing film climate.

This year’s WPFF presents the Filipino New Cinema section from June 29 to July 10, 2016, a celebration of our Filipino filmmaking talent in the country. The Filipino New Cinema section brings contemporary Filipino films to cinema screens in Manila taking to the venues Cinematheque Centre Manila, Ayala Cinema, Uptown Cinema, SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, Greenbelt 3, and Shang Cineplex.

Eagerly anticipate “Curiosity, Adventure, Love” by Sunshine Lichauco De Leon and Suzanne Richardone,
“EDSA” by Alvin Yapan, “Ringgo the Dogshooter” by Rahyan Carlos, “Memory Channel” by Raynier Brizuela, “KU’TE” by Ronaldo Bertubin, and “Iadya Mo Kami” by Mel Chionglo.

The recent media launch also featured festival directors, producers and indie actor Sandino Martin as special guests.

The partially restored film, Pagdating sa Dulo by Ishmael Bernal was personally viewed by the members of the press. This awarded dramatic/bomba film starred the late great Ms. Rita Gomez, Vic Vargas, Eddie Garcia, Ronaldo Valdez, Elvira Manahan, Zenaida Amador, Subas Herrero, with cameos by Ms. Gloria Romero, Nida Blanca, Panchito, Tange, Robert Arevalo and Barbara Perez.

Directors, Actors and Producers

From June 29 to July 10, the WPFF 2016 will be showing the Filipino New Cinema and many other international films at the Cinematheque Centre Manila, as well as partner venues: Ayala Cinema, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, Greenbelt 3, the Shang Cineplex, and Uptown Cinemas.
The film prices vary depending on which cinema you wish to see the movies. But for all the GALA Premieres, admission is FREE.
I cannot wait to see as many films as possible.
