QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Jul 2025) – Watching over your property just became twice as effective. Xiaomi has launched two new smart home security cameras in the Philippines, the CW500 Dual and C500 Dual, each equipped with a dual-lens system to monitor two different areas simultaneously from a single device.
The new cameras aim to eliminate blind spots, a common issue in home surveillance. According to a press release obtained by our editors, the devices are designed for tech enthusiasts, small business owners, and families, providing comprehensive monitoring through the Mi Home App.
The Xiaomi CW500 Smart Outdoor Camera Dual is built to withstand the elements. It carries an IP66 rating, certifying its resistance to dust and water, making it suitable for outdoor use in any weather. The camera streams two video feeds: one from a fixed-angle lens for a wide overview, and another from a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) lens for detailed inspection of specific areas.
The CW500 features a 2.5K resolution and a large f/1.6 aperture for clear images. At night, it uses four smart white lights that activate upon detecting a person, enabling full-color night vision. Users can control the camera’s movement remotely, panning horizontally and tilting 95 degrees vertically. Connectivity is handled by dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for stable streaming. It also sends alerts for human or vehicle detection and supports two-way voice calls up to 10 meters.
For indoor surveillance, Xiaomi introduced the Smart Camera C500 Dual. This model also uses two lenses, a 110-degree ultra-wide angle and a PTZ camera, to provide a split-screen view. Its AI-powered system allows the PTZ lens to automatically track movement detected by the fixed camera.
The C500 includes specific AI features for families, such as pet detection and tracking, and alerts for a crying baby. Users can set virtual fence areas to receive notifications when motion is detected in designated zones. Its infrared night vision operates without a visible red glow, ensuring it does not disturb sleep. The camera can be mounted upright or inverted and supports voice commands via “OK, Google” and “Alexa”.
Both cameras are designed for a simple, three-step setup process using the Xiaomi Home app, version 9.4 or higher.
Upgrade your security with a smarter, more comprehensive view of your home. The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 Dual is priced at Php 3,479 and the Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Dual is available for Php 3,169. Both can be purchased from Xiaomi’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada.
