The Korean student in the Philippines, Yohan Hwang was hailed the first Grand Touristar of I Love OPM: The Grand destination
With combined judges and text/online votes of 32.82%, Yohan topped the grand showdown singing “Huwag ka ng Umiyak” of KZ Tandingan.
Korean band J Morning ranked second with 23.42%. American Ryan Gallagher and Pakistani Dio placed third and fourth,23.27% and 20.50% respectively.
Yohan has always been the teen charmer who doesn’t just use his killer smile to win the audience’ heart but his smooth voice also enabled him to give remarkable performances. In order to win it, Himigration Officer Martin Nievera offered some personal advice to him. He quipped, “take it from me, cute is not forever, so level up your singing and your performances.”
As a Grand Touristar, Yohan will receive two million pesos in cash, recording contract with Star Music and vacation package to Cebu.
