Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach announced in an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda in Tonight with Boy Abunda that Philippines is the number one choice of Miss Universe Organization (MOU) to be the venue of the staging of 2016 Miss Universe pageant.
“Me, the Miss Universe Organization, Paula Shugart, all of us, we want Philippines to be the destination of the 2016 pageant”, she said.
“But only it can happen when the government, NGO’s, sponsors will unite and make this possible”, she added.
“It’s about the time for the Philippines to stage the pageant. It will also help boost the tourism”, she stressed.
Philippines last hosted the much-celebrated pageant last 1994 where the Philippine representative Charlene Gonzales placed in the Final 6.
Meanwhile, Pia was also asked about status of his friendship with Dr.Mike who is tagged as the sexiest doctor alive. The Miss Universe who was bit of emotional as she is about to pass her Bb.Pilipinas-Universe crown on Sunday, disclosed that she and Dr.Mike is exclusively dating. She also clarified to her fans that her duties as Miss Universe is her priority and she also told it to Dr.Mike before entertaining the sexy doctor.
“Sinabi ko sa kanya na Miss Universe ang priority ko. Sorry. And he understands”, she concluded.
