Philippine representatives achieved great feats in two of the most eminent beauty pageants in the world in just one day.
Hillarie Parungao finished Top 10 in the oldest beauty pageant in the planet, Miss World held in Sanya, China. She also got the Multimedia challenge award which made her ranked fourth in Top 20.
Meanwhile, Miss Spain earned the title for the year 2015 and Miss Russia as the runner-up.
This year’s Miss World pageant became controversial when Miss Canada was banned to join the competition.
Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental Christi Lynn McGarry meanwhile came closed to the crown as 1st runner-up in 2015 edition of Miss Intercontinental held in Magdeburg, Germany. She is the first Filipina to crown as first-runner up and Continental Queen of Asia & Oceania after long years of waiting.
On 2010 Christi Lynn McGarry was sent also by Mutya ng Pilipinas-Intercontinental to compete at the Miss Intercontinental 2010 pageant but Ended as one of the Semi-finalists, Top 15 and Continental Queen of Asia & the Pacific during the pageant night.
Christi lost the title to Miss Russia.
