UNIQLO’s 2017 Spring/ Summer Collection
Composed of timeless LifeWear pieces that will cover every aspect of life, it is designed with such modern elegance. Every piece definitely becomes the building blocks for any style.
UNIQLO denim combines tradition and innovation for a new generation of lighter and perfect pair of everyday jeans. Their new collection has distressed or damaged jeans, slim fit tapered jeans, and jeans suitable for different silhouettes. All those are made with high-quality materials and utilizes jeans technology from the newly established Denim Innovation Center at Los Angeles.Thus, moving is easy with the stylish jeans making it an everyday essential.
The Work Smart collection comprises of comfortable, accessible, and polished pieces that are versatile and low-maintenance to satisfy the demands of working individuals. It features skants as called by UNIQLO (popularly known as cullotes), blouses, slacks, and coats for women. Meanwhile, it features ultra light kando pants, short sleeve polos, long sleeve polos, and coat.
Their corporate wear isn’t ordinary as it’s made with drape and rayon fabrics that are both wrinkle-resistant and machine washable. Pieces aren’t only limited to the workplace. It can be dressed up for a night out after work. The collection essentially offers a good balance of comfort, style, and versatility yet it’s easy to care which lessens the burden of hard working individuals.
UNIQLO sport incorporates sportswear features in everyday wear so it’s functional yet stylish. For this season, they have expanded the lineup to encompass a wider range of sports to help enhance athletic performance. Their clothing articles include lightweight hoodies that use bloc tech, joggers, basic tees, shorts, and to sports bras. Finally, most of their activewear collection is stretchable and quick drying which can also be used as casual wear.
AIRism is a line of innovative functional innerwear. And it has become a normal innerwear for its lightness, smoothness, and outstanding performance.
Layered underneath one’s clothes, it adapts to all skin types and adapts according to the season. It additionally has a quick-drying technology so discomforts from perspiration are removed. Finally, for this season, they added deodorant functionality to the women’s (AIRism bra tops excluded) and kid’s ranges. You can see in the photo above that after shirts are drenched in ammonia, the AIRism (the left one) turns back into its original color since it repels odor. On the other hand, cotton is stained with pink since it couldn’t do what AIRism can.
Truly, with their multiple variations each designed for different lifestyles, it works for all no matter where they may live.
UT or Uniqlo T-shirts has become central to UNIQLO’s LifeWear approach by emotionally engaging with people through designs that convey the individuality and moods of their wearers. It can easily be paired and styled with other UNIQLO items with the wide variety of designs one can choose from.
Designed from carefully selected pop art from around the world, UT or Uniqlo T-shirts is both a celebration of culture and an expression. This year, UT celebrates its 10 season and for this 2017 Spring/Summer collection, they featured graphics from leading talents like abstract expressionist FUTURA.
Part of the UT collection is the MAGIC FOR ALL, a special collaborative project with Disney on its second year. Unique design variations then include Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar but they wanted to capture the feeling of nostalgia. So the collections features Mickey Mouse striking iconic poses, content from the past 40 yeara of Star Wars, and vintage looking logos of Marvel.

The UNIQLO Kids and Baby collection was born out of the need to create comfortable and durable clothing that will help children interact with and learn about their surroundings.

At UNIQLO’s Paris R&D Center, our global design team – led by Christophe Lemaire – is reinventing basics to anything but basic. It’s progressive apparel that is stylish for everyday wear. But new technologies and production methods was utilized for the UNQLO U collection.

INES DE LA FRESSANGE
The seventh collaboration with French fashion icon Ines de La Fressange, takes its inspiration from French port city of Marseilles. The new lineup showcases a remixing of styles that is quintessentially Ines, combining gradations of her signature indigo with on-trend berry accents for styling that is at once nostalgic of sunshine and sea breezes. It’s elegant French made more wearable.
