MANILA, Philippines (Mar 2026) — Anyone who has sat in the back row of a conference knows the problem. The slides are too small, the room is too bright, and half the presentation is lost before it even reaches you. Epson is pitching a fix for that, specifically aimed at the events and conferences industry.
The company is highlighting the Epson EB-L690SE Short-Throw 3LCD Laser Projector as a solution for large venue events — the kind of setup found at hotel ballrooms, convention halls, corporate town halls, and trade exhibitions where clear visuals across a wide space are non-negotiable.
What makes it suited for large events
The most practical feature for events is the short-throw capability. The EB-L690SE can project images of up to approximately 500 inches from a short distance, which means the projector can sit close to the screen without shrinking the image. For stages with limited space behind the screen or venues where equipment placement is restricted, this removes a significant logistical headache.
Short-throw projection also reduces the shadow and glare problems that come with placing a projector further back in the room, allowing presenters to move around freely without stepping into the projection path.
Brightness is the other key factor for event spaces. Hotel ballrooms and convention halls rarely go fully dark during presentations, and a projector that struggles in ambient light is a liability. The EB-L690SE is built for high-brightness projection, keeping slides, charts, and video content clear and readable even when the room lights stay on.
Image quality runs on Epson’s 3LCD technology with 4K enhancement, producing sharp detail and accurate colors across large screens — important for data-heavy presentations where small text and detailed graphics need to be legible from a distance.
Built-in connectivity and flexible placement options round out the package, allowing the projector to integrate with different presentation setups without requiring significant reconfiguration between events.
“With a variety of projection solutions, we continue to build on our long history in projection innovation by delivering bright visuals, flexible setup, and dependable performance for businesses and event spaces,” said Masako Kusama, President and Director of Epson Philippines Corporation.
