Can the vivo V70 FE really keep up with the V70? Here’s what the cameras show

MANILA, Philippines (Jun. 2026) — Paying less for a smartphone usually means giving up camera quality. The vivo V70 FE is trying to prove that doesn’t have to be the case.

The mid-range smartphone was recently put side by side with the more premium vivo V70 in a series of indoor photography tests, showing how closely the two devices perform in everyday shooting situations.

A close match in daylight

Both smartphones were tested from the same indoor location using the standard 1x Photo Mode. The scene included residential buildings, a rainbow and Mount Arayat in the distance.

The vivo V70 FE delivered detailed images with strong dynamic range, keeping distant structures sharp while preserving color gradients in the sky. The results closely resembled those produced by the vivo V70 under daylight conditions.

The phone’s camera system is built around a 200MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 1/1.56-inch sensor. According to vivo, the larger sensor captures 42% more light than the previous-generation V60 Lite, helping improve image quality in both bright and low-light scenes.

Portraits and food shots still impress

Portrait Mode was also put to the test using decorative lighting inside a restaurant. While the vivo V70 created a slightly creamier background blur, the vivo V70 FE still delivered convincing subject separation with natural-looking depth and preserved fine details.

Food photography showed similar results. A tiramisu dessert photographed under warm indoor lighting retained visible textures, including the cocoa powder topping and cream layers, while keeping white balance under control.

The camera system is backed by vivo’s Ultra-Clear Imaging Engine, which combines multiple frames and computational photography techniques to improve sharpness, exposure and overall image quality.

The device also uses vivo’s self-developed CIPA 4.0-rated OIS technology, designed to reduce camera shake during handheld shooting, especially in low-light environments.

Built for more than photography

Beyond its cameras, the vivo V70 FE packs a 7,000mAh BlueVolt battery paired with 90W FlashCharge, giving users more time to shoot photos, record videos and handle everyday tasks without frequent charging.

The vivo V70 FE is now available nationwide for PHP 25,999 (approximately $445) through vivo stores, the vivo online store, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.

For buyers looking for flagship-style camera performance without stepping into flagship pricing, the vivo V70 FE aims to narrow the gap between mid-range and premium smartphones.
