MANILA, Philippines (Jun 2025) — Karaoke night just got a lot easier to pull off. LG Electronics Philippines has launched the xboom Stage 501, a portable party speaker with AI-powered karaoke built in, no separate app or setup required.
The Stage 501 is designed to move with the party, whether that’s a living room sing-along, a rooftop hangout, or an outdoor gathering. It packs a dedicated AI Karaoke Control Knob that strips vocals from any track and lets users adjust pitch in real time with a single press — turning any playlist into a spontaneous barkada karaoke session.
Sound tuned by will.i.am, built by Peerless
The speaker’s audio was refined by Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am, who worked with LG to shape xboom Signature Sound for warmer tones and better balance at high volumes. Under the hood, two 5.25-inch woofers handle low-end punch while a pair of 2.5-inch full-range drivers keep the highs clear — all built with components developed alongside Peerless, a Danish audio manufacturer with over a century in acoustic engineering.
An onboard AI Sound algorithm monitors audio in real time and adjusts EQ on the fly, boosting bass for music and sharpening vocal clarity for spoken content like podcasts.
Lights that follow the music
The Stage 501’s dual-bar lighting reacts to whatever’s playing, analyzing the genre and shifting colors to match the vibe. It’s not just a gimmick — for a speaker positioned as the centerpiece of a party setup, the visual element adds to the atmosphere without requiring any manual tinkering.
Fits in four ways, carries in one hand
One of the more practical touches is the Signature Stage Design, which supports four mounting configurations: horizontal, tilted, vertical, and pole-mounted. A built-in gyro sensor triggers Space Calibration Pro, which automatically recalibrates the EQ based on how the speaker is positioned and what kind of space it’s in.
An easy-grip handle makes it manageable to carry in one hand, and the internal layout is optimized so switching from one setup to another doesn’t take long.
25 hours, water-resistant, and expandable
Battery life is rated at up to 25 hours on a charge, with a 99Wh replaceable battery that can be swapped out for long events. The speaker carries an IPX4 water resistance rating, so light splashes and poolside setups aren’t a concern.
For larger gatherings, the Stage 501 supports Auracast audio broadcasting via Bluetooth LE Audio, which lets multiple speakers receive the same audio signal simultaneously for wider sound coverage across a space.
Yongwoo Park, Media Solutions Product Director at LG Electronics Philippines, said the speaker was designed to give users “the freedom to create their own stage wherever the moment takes them.”
