PARAÑAQUE CITY, Philippines (July 2026) — Carrying a powerful work laptop often means putting up with extra weight. ASUS wants to change that with the launch of the ExpertBook Ultra, a premium AI-powered business laptop that weighs less than 1 kilogram while packing hardware typically found in much larger machines.
The device made its Philippine debut during a launch event at Okada Manila attended by more than 1,200 enterprise customers, executives and technology partners. It also marked the first visit of ASUS Co-CEO Samson Hu to the Philippines.
Hu said ASUS’ commercial business in the country has grown by 85 percent and now accounts for 27 percent of the company’s local operations. ASUS is aiming to become the country’s top commercial PC brand by 2028.
Built for executives on the move
Designed for business professionals who travel frequently, the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra features an aerospace-grade magnesium-aluminum chassis measuring just 10.9mm thick. Depending on the display configuration, it starts at only 0.99 kilogram.
Despite its slim profile, the laptop packs a 70Wh battery that ASUS says can deliver up to 26 hours of battery life.
The company also claims its Nano Ceramic coating provides up to five times better scratch resistance than conventional laptop finishes.
Desktop-class performance in a thin laptop
Powering the ExpertBook Ultra is Intel’s latest Core Ultra X9 Series 3 processor with a dedicated neural processing unit capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS for AI workloads.
ASUS said its ExpertCool Pro thermal system allows the processor to sustain up to 50W of performance while keeping fan noise below 20dB in Whisper Mode.
The laptop can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to a 2TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. ASUS says the storage reaches read speeds exceeding 14GB/s, allowing large files and AI models to load significantly faster than previous-generation drives.
The company also says the integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics outperform an NVIDIA RTX 4050 operating at 30W in selected benchmark tests.
Designed for the AI era
The ExpertBook Ultra is a Copilot+ PC equipped with ASUS’ MyExpert AI suite, which includes AI ExpertMeet for smarter online meetings and a local Knowledge Hub that lets users organize and search information without relying on cloud services.
Enterprise security features include Microsoft Pluton, TPM 2.0, self-healing BIOS technology, fingerprint authentication, Windows Hello facial recognition and a physical webcam privacy shutter.
The laptop also complies with the NIST SP 800-193 firmware resilience standard, helping protect business systems against firmware-level attacks.
Premium display and full connectivity
The flagship notebook features a 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen with up to 1,400 nits peak HDR brightness, a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass Matte to reduce reflections.
Audio is handled by a six-speaker Dolby Atmos system.
Unlike many ultra-thin laptops, the ExpertBook Ultra retains a generous selection of ports, including Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm audio jack.
ASUS taps familiar faces for business campaign
During the launch, ASUS also introduced Gabbi Garcia and Rico Hizon as ambassadors for ASUS Business Philippines.
The collaboration brings together personalities from GMA Network and ABS-CBN for the first time in an ASUS commercial campaign, highlighting professionals from different industries who rely on AI-powered productivity tools.
Price and availability
The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra is now available in the Philippines starting at PHP 129,995 (approximately US$2,300) through ASUS Authorized Stores and select technology retailers nationwide.
Customers who purchase the laptop until July 31 can also receive an ASUS 100W GaN Charger and PHP 10,000 (approximately US$177) worth of SSI Gift Vouchers through ASUS’ Early Bird promotion, subject to promo mechanics.
