TOKYO, Japan (Jul 2026) — Waiting four years for a new album is a long time, but one of the biggest names in J-pop just made the wait worth it with a project that celebrates being yourself.
The group PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE has officially released "DIFFERENT," their landmark second full-length studio album. Arriving four years after their debut, this 10-track project serves as a bold statement on global unity, proving that our differences can become our greatest strengths.
Artistic growth and hands-on production
Backed by massive international milestones, including a successful six-city U.S. tour and high-profile festival slots across the Asia-Pacific, the group has arrived at a definitive creative peak. This album captures their evolution, showcasing a deeper level of artistic maturity and hands-on production from the members themselves.
Most notably, the members were deeply involved in the creative process throughout the album’s production. WEESA and JIMMY stepped up to co-write lyrics for three tracks, tailoring the lines to showcase each member’s unique vocal strengths.
A mix of global genres
Leading the album is the focus track "If You’re Mine," produced by long-time collaborator JIGG. Leaning heavily into a culture-blending hip-hop sound, the track is primed to follow the viral success of fan favorites like "Just Like Dat."
The rest of the album weaves together new material with previously released hits, highlighting their range through a diverse mix of sounds. The project features everything from the Y2K-inspired confidence of "Masterpiece" and the smooth R&B of "I Got Ways" to the Afrobeat-infused rhythms of "Cinderella Pt. 2" and "Into You."
Celebrating individuality
Reflecting on the concept, member RYOGA shared that they want to celebrate what makes each person unique. Instead of comparing themselves to others, the group believes differences should be embraced because they allow everyone to shine in their own way. He hopes the album encourages Pinoy listeners to be proud of who they are and feel empowered to live authentically.
JIMMY added that because this is their first full album in four years, the group put their hearts and souls into making it. He mentioned that he wrote lyrics while imagining how cool it would sound if the members sang those lines, encouraging fans to listen to both the sound and the lyrics together.
"DIFFERENT" is now available on all major global streaming platforms.
