Acer Nitro Blaze Link is a handheld console that can stream games from your PC

TAIPEI, Taiwan (May 2026) — Not every gamer needs a powerhouse in their hands. Sometimes, you just need your PC games to follow you to the couch.

That’s the idea behind the Acer Nitro Blaze Link, a streaming-first handheld that Acer unveiled at Computex 2026. Unlike the Steam Deck or other portable gaming devices, the Nitro Blaze Link doesn’t process games locally. Instead, it connects to an existing PC — like the Predator Helios 18 AI or Acer Nitro 16 — and streams games directly to its 7-inch screen over Wi-Fi 6.

The pitch is simple: one gaming PC, multiple screens. Households with a shared setup can use the Blaze Link to play on a second display simultaneously, or gamers who want to move around the house without leaving their session behind can do exactly that.

Small package, solid screen

The Nitro Blaze Link runs on a 7-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and supports up to five touch points. The display is paired with dual 2-watt speakers tuned for dialogue clarity and in-game audio cues, so you’re not sacrificing too much on the sensory side.

It weighs just 464 grams and measures 286.87 x 109.8 x 15.5/33.52 mm, making it lighter than most full-featured handhelds on the market. Ergonomic grips and balanced weight distribution round out the form factor for longer play sessions around the house.

Controls and connectivity

The handheld comes with a standard controller layout: A/B/X/Y buttons, a D-pad, left and right joysticks, bumpers, triggers, a volume rocker, and navigation buttons including Start, Back, Home, and an overlay widget button. It’s familiar territory for any gamepad user.

Under the hood, the Blaze Link runs Linux (Debian) and uses Sunshine and Moonlight as its streaming software stack — both are well-regarded open-source tools in the PC game streaming space. It connects via Wi-Fi 6 at 80 MHz for low-latency streaming, with a USB Type-C port for charging and a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones. The 18 Wh battery is paired with a 15-watt Type-C power adapter.

Internally, it carries 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 8 GB of eMMC storage — enough for the OS and streaming client, since the heavy lifting stays on the PC.

Who it’s actually for

The Nitro Blaze Link isn’t trying to replace a dedicated gaming handheld. It’s positioning itself as a companion device for PC gamers who already own a capable rig and want more flexibility in where they play. Think of it less as a standalone console and more as a second screen for your gaming setup.

That said, its value depends heavily on having a strong local Wi-Fi connection and a compatible PC. Without those, the experience falls apart.
