SINGAPORE (Aug. 2026) – Four Pinoy esports teams are gearing up to represent the country and secure a slot in the upcoming “Call of Duty: Mobile” World Championship 2026. Rival Esports, ELEVATE, Alula SC, and Vizualz SKAERI are set to compete in the Garena Qualifier happening from Aug. 9 to Aug. 30.
The battle for the world stage
A total of 10 elite teams from across the region will battle for a prize pool of $20,000 USD (approx. PHP 1,160,000). Only two coveted slots are up for grabs to represent the Garena region at the World Championship Finals in Mexico City this coming December. This marks the first time the tournament finals will be held in Mexico.
The tournament follows a three-stage format. It kicks off with the Play-In Stage on Aug. 9, where teams like Rival Esports and Vizualz SKAERI will fight in a double-elimination bracket. The action continues with the Group Stage from Aug. 13 to Aug. 23, leading up to the double-elimination Playoffs from Aug. 29 to Aug. 30. Fans can catch the matches Online via official channels starting at 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. depending on the schedule.
A legendary Hollywood collaboration
Aside from the esports action, players can look forward to the launch of Season 7, titled Terminated, on Aug. 6 at 8:00 a.m. This update brings an epic collaboration featuring “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”.
Players can complete daily tasks to unlock over 15 collaboration rewards, including the Blackjack Endoskeleton Operator Skin. An exclusive offer also gives players a chance to get both T-800 and T-1000 Operator Skins, which automatically upgrade to Legendary quality when paired together.
Supernatural events exclusive to Garena
Pinoy players are also in for a treat with three supernatural folklore-themed events. The What The Haunt event lets players unlock a puppet theatre-inspired Operator Skin. Another event called Ghost Night starts on Aug. 22, featuring a lucky draw and a personality quiz where participants can win physical prizes.
Finally, the Haunted Ring event introduces localized voice lines from popular Pinoy creators Sharlene San Pedro, Myrtle Sarrosa, AJ Moustachio, and Doc Z.
The “Call of Duty: Mobile” game can be downloaded for free on the App Store and Google Play. Updates are regularly posted on the official Facebook page.
